About This Analysis

Editorial independence, methodology, and the sources behind every figure on this vertical.

Editorial Independence

Franchise Financing Guide is not affiliated with Club Pilates Franchise, LLC, Xponential Fitness, Inc., or any franchisor, franchise broker or resale marketplace. No franchisor reviewed, approved or influenced this content before publication. No franchise broker or resale platform has paid for placement or favourable coverage.

We do not recommend for or against buying a Club Pilates franchise. We present the data as it exists in the public record — the FDD’s disclosed figures alongside the parent company’s reported trading results and the FTC’s regulatory action — and leave the reader to draw their own conclusions with the help of their own legal and financial advisors.

Methodology and Sources

Every figure on this vertical names the source and the period it describes. Where two sources disagree, we say so. Where a figure is estimated rather than disclosed, we label it as such. We would rather publish “the franchisor does not disclose this” than repeat a number we cannot verify.

Primary sources

  • 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) — The FDD describes the franchise system as of the end of 2024. It contains Item 5 (fees), Item 6 (ongoing obligations), Item 7 (estimated initial investment), Item 19 (financial performance representations) and Item 20 (outlets). Figures from this document are labelled “2024, per the 2025 FDD.”
  • FTC proposed stipulated order (March 2026) — On 18 March 2026, the Federal Trade Commission announced a $17 million settlement with Xponential Fitness over alleged Franchise Rule violations naming Club Pilates and four other brands. The FTC alleged, among other things, that prospective franchisees were told studios typically opened within six months when they typically took over a year. This is a proposed stipulated order, not a finding of guilt, and Xponential admitted nothing. We cite the order and the FTC’s press release directly.
  • Xponential Fitness SEC filings and earnings calls — Xponential is a publicly traded company (NYSE: XPOF). Quarterly results, same-store sales figures, opening counts and the announcement of the Jefferies engagement are from public filings and earnings call transcripts. These are labelled by quarter.

Secondary sources

  • Franchise Chatter — Independent franchise analysis citing specific FDD items with exact dollar figures.
  • Public review sites and franchisee forums — Used for owner-experience themes. Aggregated and attributed as public discussion, never quoted as though we conducted interviews.

What we do not do

  • We do not interview franchisees. Owner-experience content is drawn from publicly available reviews and forum discussion.
  • We do not verify earnings claims. Kumon publishes no Item 19; Club Pilates does. Where the FDD discloses a figure, we use it. Where it does not, we say so.
  • We do not predict the outcome of the Jefferies sale process or the FTC order’s effect on the system.
